Meditation for Dummies

If you find meditation stressful, think you can’t meditate, don’t have time to, or just don’t get what all the fuss is about – then this is FOR YOU.
A chilled out look at meditation from a non-judgemental and realistic perspective.
There is a lot of pressure around meditation – ‘I should’ or ‘you should’ meditate, and that there’s something wrong with you if you don’t, or worse – can’t!
So let’s start with – there is no such thing as ‘can’t meditate.’ The pressure to turn up to a meditation, and then have someone instruct you to ‘clear your mind’ or ’empty your mind’ can send the mind into a spin and be more stressful than if you’d just gone home.
My intention is to explain why we might choose to meditate (it’s a choice, not a prerequisite) and to understand what it can do for your mind, your nervous system, your breath, the way you think and feel about yourself, your decision-making and your day-to-day life.
You can wear what you want, sit how you want, feel how you want and ask any questions you want – I promise to answer them the best I can.
Facilitated by someone who ‘didn’t get’ meditation, then ‘couldn’t’ meditate, then just didn’t like meditation (and of course didn’t like anyone that ‘could’ meditate).
